Lonesome Pine Realty and Auction is nestled in the beautiful mountains of Southwest Virginia. Our main office is located in Big Stone Gap, while our branch office is located in the City of Norton.

Founded in 1969 by Don Wax, it was originally named Dogwood Realty, then Don Wax Properties, then Lonesome Pine Properties. In 1992, Wax sold Lonesome Pine Properties. The company was renamed Lonesome Pine Realty.

In 2000, the company changed owners to David and Linda Wampler. David and Linda's goals were to take Lonesome Pine Realty into the 21st Century with technology. Since then the company has launched a website with color listings and daily updates, color brochures, and offers many forms of communication by email, voice messaging, phone, and fax.

David & Linda changed the name of the company in 2002 to offer a new service to their customers. The new name, Lonesome Pine Realty & Auction, would reflect a new beginning.

We currently employ eighteen agents who service Wise, Lee, Scott, and Dickenson County, as well as the City of Norton. Our team of professional realtors are residents and are actively involved in the community, giving them personal expertise and invaluable insights into lifestyles and neighborhood characteristics.
